Los Angeles Times: LA Mayor seeks to borrow future tax money to fix streets

Villaraigosa wants to borrow future tax money to fix L.A. streets

Over about two years, the plan would spend up to $800 million to repair nearly a fourth of city roads using 27 years of proceeds from Measure R, a half-cent sales tax passed by county voters.
