SACRAMENTO – Senate Republicans are expected to have a new leader Wednesday, their first day back in the Capitol after the fall recess.
The caucus announced last month that state Sen. Bob Huff, R-Diamond Bar, would replace Senate Minority Leader Bob Dutton, R-Rancho Cucamonga.
Dutton is termed out of the Senate this fall and seeks to return to the Assembly, where he served from 2002 to 2004. His Senate district includes Riverside, Rancho Cucamonga, the San Bernardino Mountains and Redlands.
Huff is running for re-election in a district that extends from Cypress to Chino Hills and is viewed as safely Republican.
