Sacramento Bee: Field Poll Shows Where Caliifornians Get News

Where Californians get their news ... if they get it at all

About three-quarters of California voters say they keep up with government and political news at least some of the time, but the quarter that has tuned out represents an increase from 12 years ago, according to a new Field Poll.

Following the news "only now and then" or "hardly at all" is particularly popular among those between 18 and 29, Asian Americans and Latinos.

A majority of voters, meanwhile, get most of their news from television, although about half of those under 39 listed the Internet as a main source of their news
